From cultivation and logistics and ripening, we are taking action at every stage of our supply chain to try to limit the impact of our activity on all our ripening facilities. To this end, in 2021, we introduced a global monitoring system for our electricity consumption. At our various sited across Europe, the main challenge remains to improve energy efficiency.
To achieve this, we are working both to optimise our room occupancy rates and to gradually replace our equipment with new, more energy-efficient systems. At our most recent sites, we have installed photovoltaic panels to supply our ripening facilities with renewable, carbon-free electricity. Finally, on a daily basis, we are fighting against waste by redirecting our unsold goods to short distribution channels or charitable organisations.
